About
Anderson Home Construction

We are third-generation family builders, bringing personal involvement, thoughtful design, and high-quality finishes rooted in real craftsmanship.

Who We Are

We are Central Virginia home builder creating custom and spec homes with a local team, sharp design, and quality beyond typical construction.

Our Story

Our family’s building roots trace back to 1730 in Buckingham County, where generations of craftsmen and builders laid the foundation for the work we continue across Central Virginia today. In 1944, our great-grandfather built the office we operate from today, and he became known as the community builder, building homes throughout the area.

Today, we carry that legacy forward by mixing time-tested craftsmanship with modern building practices. Each home reflects careful planning, problem solving, and a collaborative process where homeowners work directly with the builders bringing their vision to life.

Our Mission & Values

Transparent Process

We provide clear updates, so homeowners always know what is next.

We stand behind our work, maintaining strong relationships with homeowners.

Client-First Approach

Every choice is centered on how the home will function for the people living in it.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an excellent experience with the costume home builder. Even though the home was already near complete when we purchased it, the quality of the design and craftsmanship immediately stood out. The layout is thoughtful, functional, and beautifully designed, and reflects great attention to detail. It’s clear the builder takes pride in their work and builds homes to a very high standard. We are extremely happy with our purchase and would highly recommend this builder for a well-designed, high quality custom home.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Anderson Home construction is fantastic. Great craftsmanship, friendly staff, and a beautiful home all around.

Jobsite was spotless every time I visited.
There are great craftsmanship touches they add without charging out the woodworks. (The beautiful white oak columns and mantle.)

Matt, Logan and the rest of the team could not have been easier to work with.

100/100 would recommend them for anything.

For the minor issue typical of a new construction I've been able to reach out to them and they are quick to respond and repair the issue. I would absolutely recommend Anderson Home Contruction to anyone!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We moved to Virginia from California. Our home was built by Anderson builders. The craftsmanship and quality of our new home was outstanding. But beyond the physical stuff of a home being built, was the man behind the scene. Alan Anderson and his son Matthew. I’ve never in my lifetime had the owner of a company be at the walk through, and continue to care for my family and was hands on also a phone call away. Alan also would come out and check on us, if there was any small issues Alan was there. His son Matthew a really good person too. When things needed to be done Matthew was here also for has. Just the best experience on a new home built by the AndersonBuilders. Bottom line there Quality of craftsmanship there hands on, and making you feel like family and our first friends in Virginia, just a fabulous experience. And 4 years later both Alan and his son Matthew, are still friends. Thank you again Anderson Builders for being #1 builders. Coach Watters

I'm very happy with how my build turned out! Honestly, I think it's the house I always wanted to own "one day." I can tell there was a lot of attention to detail during the build.

I would use this company again and would recommend them!
